Brazilian Jujitsu, or BJJ, is a ground fighting submission based martial art that was made famous in the early 90’s by the Gracie family during the early UFC championships. BJJ is designed to help the smaller, weaker individual defeat larger opponents by using the principles of technique and leverage. BJJ is more than a sport, self-defense system or fitness program, it is a mean to improve your entire life. It’s a fun way to push your limits and better yourself. While you’ll find it one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of your life, you’ll also find it one of the most difficult and challenging. It strengthens you — not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. That challenge helps you uncover your best attributes, become your best self and discover your inner champion.
